3.1. FTPES - FTP over Explicit TLS/SSL - secure FTP

SYMPTOMS:

Plain FTP is not secure enough.

 

RESOLUTION:

If your FTP client supports FTPES - FTP over Explicit TLS/SSL, just change the setting in your client.

We do recommend FileZilla which is free and supports FTPES.

When you connect via FTPES you may see the below certificate (which is ours and is ok to accept):

Depending on your FTP client you may see something like the above.  Please note this is our certificate; and you will see dynamicnet.net in the common name of the certificate.

Click on OK to proceed with your FTPES secure connection.
